    We understand that there is so much financial information available that it can be overwhelming, so we have chosen a few resources that we feel are the best sources of news, advice, and information. Please use the links at left and below to learn more.

    Below are video tutorials created by the Khan Academy, and others sites that are very helpful in understanding some of the current events that we have heard about in the financial news.  There are also links to video tutorials that walk through different investing concepts as well.

    Current Events/Economics:   

    - The Deficit and the Debt Ceiling: Walks through how the deficit and the debt ceiling are interrelated. 

    - Ponzi Schemes:  Give a tangible example of what a Ponzi scheme is.  

    - Social Security Intro:  Basics on how Social Security works and illustrates the problem the system faces.  

    - FICA Tax:  How the FICA tax is calculates and what it stands for (relates to Social Security).  

    - The Yield Curve:  How risk impacts the rates charges for loans and how the yield curve functions.
